Noor Vale
Signed artist/
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Noor Vale grew up above her parents’ bakery in Amsterdam-Oost, singing harmonies to the radio between deliveries. She signed to STATIC in 2021 after a demo of ‘Low Tide’ was passed hand to hand at a house show in De Pijp. Her debut album, recorded live to tape over nine days, went on to become the label’s best-selling record.
Singer, Songwriter, Producer
“I write at four in the morning, when the city finally stops talking over me.”
On stage she plays it small — a borrowed lamp, a Wurlitzer, a band that watches her hands. Off stage she runs a monthly songwriting night for teenagers in Bos en Lommer, which she calls the most important gig she has.
Her second record leans into space and silence. Strings arranged by her sister, drums recorded in a stairwell, and a voice that sits so close to the microphone you can hear her decide each word. It is a record about staying.
